Recognition For Integrity: Lagos Valuation Office Director Honored With Leadership Award

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Director of the Lagos State Valuation Office (LASVO), Esv. Adekunle Awolaja, was recently presented a Leadership Award by the Fight Against Corruption Organisation (FACO) in recognition of his dedication to transparency, integrity and accountability.

At the award ceremony held in the LASVO Conference Room in Alausa, Ikeja, Esv. Awolaja expressed gratitude to FACO, stating “the importance of collective action in combating corruption and fostering sustainable development in Lagos State and Nigeria as well.”

“He reiterated his commitment to continually championing initiatives aimed at promoting valuation offices in tandem with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS), ensuring that the State Valuation Office replicates that of Valuation Offices in England by giving a template on Land Use Charge,” FACO Chairman Dr. Francis Shopekan remarked.

Dr. Shopekan commended Esv. Awolaja’s “integrity, hard work and undeniable impact in various offices and capacities he had served,” adding his “immense contribution to the development of Lagos State and track record of success over the years cannot be overemphasised.”

In presenting the award, Dr. Shopekan said Esv. Awolaja’s leadership as Director has proven he is an “efficient leader with an unwavering commitment to ethical leadership and unrelenting effort to the development of the State.”

The event was attended by LASVO management staff and top FACO officials. Esv. Awolaja said the recognition will motivate him to continue efforts to ensure the Valuation Office succeeds.
