Eko Hot Blog reports that a district head of Fadan-Karshi in Sanga Local Council of Nasarawa State, Joel Galadima, is currently been investigated by the police for selling a Toyota Hilux Van meant for security patrol in the community.
A community leader in Fadan Karshi, Isa John, told The Guardian that the district head does not reside in Fadan Karshi, noting that youths in the community are aggrieved.

John said the van was designated for a specific purpose of checkmating crime and was in the custody of Galadima, until its sudden disappearance that attracted the attention of members of the community, who are insisting that they must unravel the whereabouts of the Hilux van.
According to The Guardian, the Hilux van was released by the Gwantu Police Area Command on request, to serve the purpose of patrol in troubled areas of Fadan Karshi.
However, it was gathered that the district head took custody of the van and later auctioned it without consulting elders in the community.
Investigation further revealed that at the point of selling the van, Galadima informed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Gwantu of his planned action, but the DPO told him to follow the appropriate channel in auctioning the
van.
Despite the DPO’s advice, it was gathered that the district head went ahead and sold the van, leading to his being investigated by the police.
When contacted, Galadima admitted that he took custody of the Hilux van, but when it became obvious that the van was no longer useful, he followed all the due process before auctioning it.

The district head, however, explained that the matter is being handled by the state commissioner of police for amicable resolution.
He pleaded with some aggrieved members of the community to remain calm as the matter would be resolved and the whole truth be told.
