Eko Hot Blog reports that Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has expressed unwavering determination to clinch a Grammy Award this year.
Despite not receiving any nominations for the 2024 Grammys, the music artiste during his visit to the Lagos mansion of billionaire businessman Tony Elumelu, he made the bold declaration, vowing to secure the prestigious music accolade.
In a video shared on the billionaire’s Instastory, Rema presented an exclusive album copy and his merchandise, Air Rema, as gifts to the Elumelu family.
The ‘Calm Down’ crooner expressed gratitude to Tony Elumelu for his consistent support of the Nigerian music industry.
Rema confidently stated, “Thank you for what you have done and the support you have for the music industry. I am grateful; it means a lot to me. This year, I am bringing the Grammy.”
Despite Rema’s optimism, it’s worth noting that the singer was not included in the 2024 Grammy nominations by the Recording Academy. The next Grammy award ceremony is scheduled to take place in 2025.
