As children across Nigeria were celebrated on May 27, the lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency, Rep. Wale Raji, marked the occasion with a heartfelt message to the young stars of his constituency, describing them as “the light of today” and reaffirming his dedication to their future.
Ekohotblog reports that in his message, Rep. Raji extended warm greetings to children in Epe Central, Eredo LCDA, and Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, noting that the day serves as a reminder of the crucial role children play in shaping the destiny of the nation.

“Children are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are the light of today, deserving of every tool, every opportunity, and every ounce of support to dream, grow, and flourish,” he said.
The lawmaker highlighted his commitment to laying strong educational foundations through infrastructural development across the constituency. He disclosed that nearly 160 classrooms have been constructed in the three local councils, describing them as more than just physical buildings.
“These are not just buildings; they are beacons of hope, designed to spark cognitive, affective, and psychomotor growth in our young minds, creating environments where potential is unlocked, and destinies are shaped.”
Rep. Raji also emphasized his effort to bring education closer to underserved communities, citing the establishment of new schools in areas like Oko-Abe, Temu, Owu-Ikosi, and Ilege as proof of his inclusive development agenda.
“True transformation reaches even the overlooked. These efforts reflect not just policy but purpose, a promise made to the people, and a promise kept with integrity.”
He called on constituents to share in the joy of the day and renew their commitment to nurturing the next generation.
