Alhaji Bola Ogunyele, Chairman, South-West Zone of the Nigeria Association of Road Transport Owners, has called on Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, as well as the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, to repair of the Gbongan-Ode Omu-Osogbo road.
Ogunleye who made the call through a statement on Tuesday said repair of the road was important in other to reduce accidents.
He said members of the union spent huge amounts of money in repairing and replacing damaged parts of their vehicles after plying the route.
Ogunleye added that the criminal elements were taken advantage of the bad parts on the route to unleash mayhem and disposed people of their goods and valuable items.
He described the path as a death trap.
“I want to appeal to the Osun State Governor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, the Federal Minister of Works, Mr Babatunde Fashola, that there is need for them to do something about the Gbongan-Ode Omu-Osogbo road,” he said.
