Reps Commenced Probe Of N2.3B Fraud In Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund
The House Of Representative has lunched a probe into an alleged N2.3B Fraud in Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) meant for workers.
Rep. Francis Ejiroghene Waive, sponsored the motion on the floor of the lower chamber during the Thursday plenary.
While moving the motion, Waive recalled that a national newspaper had reported the alleged fraud in an article published on November 24, 2019.

He called on the House to investigate the allegation, which according to him, he “believed to have been carried out without the authorization of the Board of the Fund or approval of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment as the transaction which exceeded the spending threshold of the Management”.
