Reps Member Condemns Killings At Goska Community, Jema’a LGA

The member representing Jema’a/Sanga Constituency of Kaduna State at the National Assembly Mr. Shehu Nicholas Garba has condemned the killings of five Persons in their farmlands by unknown gunmen in Goska, Kaninkon Chiefdom of Jema’a LGA.

He describes the incident as barbaric and an act of cowardness that had followed regular pattern in the area without any apparent trigger.

In a press statement made available to newsmen in Kafanchan, the lawmaker says the attack is coming in less than 2 weeks after a similar incident that took place at Golkofa and Godogodo in the same local government.

According to the statement, the evil act if not checked would put the people of the area in a perpetual state of fear especially now that the farming season has set in.

Mr. Garba challenges the security Agencies to intensify efforts toward ensuring perpetrators of the criminal acts are brought to book, noting that the inability to carry out thorough investigation of similar acts in the past had created an atmosphere of impunity which has continued to embolden the Criminals.

He consoles the immediate families of the bereaved in goska community and the entire Kaninkon Chiefdom, and urges them to remain calm and vigilant not to take laws into their hands as Security Agencies are working round the clock toward bringing the perpetrators to book with a view to ending their impunity.

Report indicates that wakili Kon, lami Peter, Mrs. ayuba rasong, Yusuf Josha and handsome Auta are those who died as a result of the ugly incident.
