NOVEMBER 16, 2020

The House Committee on Judiciary made this known during the judicial arm’s budget defense session at the Assembly complex in Abuja.

The committee also asked that the judiciary be excused from revenue generation for the country, stressing that this will take the burden of cost away from Nigerians and guarantee peace and justice.

It also frowned at the reduction in the budget of the Supreme court, despite the appointment of eight new justices.

Recall that the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Tanko Muhammad recently inaugurated eight new Justices of the Supreme Court.
