EKO HOT BLOG reports that a three-storey building has collapsed on Ibadan Street, in the Ebute Meta area of Lagos State.
The Head, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, Margaret Adeseye, confirmed the development in a statement on Sunday.
She noted that some people, who resided in the building that collapsed, had been trapped, adding that a search and rescue operation was ongoing to rescue the trapped victims.
Adeseye said, “An alert of a collapsed three-storey building on 32 Ibadan Street, Ebute Meta, was received around 9.48pm on Sunday, with the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service already at the scene.
An Instagram post by Seun Olukoyi reveals a large number of people who reside around the building could be seen gathered at the scene of the incident.

This online media platform gathered that rescue officials from the Lagos State Ambulance Service, Lagos State Building Control Agency and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services were already at the scene of the incident.
