Residents contribute Money To Buy Car Conveying Pregnant Women To Clinic

• The nearest clinic to the village is 29km away and the women contributed N1,000 each to buy a N1m car which will take pregnant women to the health facility when they are in labour.

Some women in Bordo village of Jahun Local Government Area in Jigawa State have contributed money to buy a car to take pregnant women to the nearest clinic.

Nigerian journalist, Abubakar Jari revealed this via his Official Twitter handle.

According to Jari, the nearest clinic to the village is 29km away and the women contributed N1,000 each to buy a N1m car which will take pregnant women to the health facility when they are in labour.

He tweeted;

” Women in Bordo village of Jahun LGA in Jigawa State contributed N1000 each & bought a N1 million car that is being used to take pregnant women to the nearest clinic (29 KM) when they are in labour. Kudos”.
