Residents Pounce On Notorious Robbers In Poka, Epe

Some brave residents of Poka, Epe Division of Lagos State this afternoon rebuffed an attempt by a group of armed robbers who attempted to steal a brand new motorcycle belonging to one of the residents.

The notorious criminals ran out of luck after they were hunted down the Epe-Ijebu-Ode expressway down to the outskirts of the community.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the brave residents who foiled the robbery attempt, mostly youths, in their resilience to apprehend the criminals sustained various degrees of injuries combing through the length and breadth of the neighbourhood until they fished out the criminals.

According to a source who spoke to EKO HOT BLOG, the criminals were chased all the way to Noforija down to Palace Road, Poka. The robbers, armed with guns, were alleged to have travelled from Ijebu-Igbo to carry out the operation, but ran out of luck after brave youths of the community tenaciously repelled the attack.

Another source who spoke on condition of anonymity disclosed that he had seen the criminals earlier in the day and wasn’t surprised to see them caught in the gnawing jaws of justice.

To prevent jungle justice, residents, youths and other stakeholders who witnessed the incident, appealed to frayed nerves to hand the culprits over to the authorities.

The criminals were stripped naked and walked down to the Palace of Alade Uraka of Uraka Kingdom, Oba Kolawole Aliru, and thereafter marched to the nearest Police station.
