Retired Directors Empower LASG Public Servants

Association of Retired Directors of Finance and Accounts has partnered with Careskills Academy Nigeria Limited to provide a comprehensive training program in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and emergency response.

The recent training session, held at the STO Resource Centre, Alausa, equipped government officials with vital skills to respond swiftly during emergencies.

Association Chairman, Mr. Samuel Asegere, emphasized the significance of this training, highlighting the importance of CPR and emergency response knowledge in maintaining public safety, particularly in a fast-paced urban environment like Lagos.

He expressed gratitude to the State Government for its support and encouraged participants to apply their newfound skills in both their professional and personal lives.

The training aimed to empower participants with hands-on experience in lifesaving techniques, underscoring the importance of these skills in preventing loss of life during critical incidents.

Asegere noted that the training will be extended to other levels of government and public service to ensure a wider spectrum of state employees is prepared to act swiftly in times of emergencies.

Adedoyin Oseni, CEO of Careskills Academy, facilitated the training, exposing participants to up-to-date and scientifically proven methods of handling emergencies.

She emphasized the importance of continuous education in life-saving techniques, stating that the training would not only improve the quality of care participants can provide but also enhance their confidence in dealing with emergencies.

Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn practical life-saving skills, acknowledging the need for such training, particularly among retirees who may be more vulnerable to health emergencies.
