RETRACTION: Emir Of Kano Is Alive.

Editor’s Note : A RETRACTION.

A news story was published on our platform today with an unambiguous headline that the Emir Of Kano is Dead.

We would like to inform our esteemed readers that the misleading and utterly provocative piece has since been retracted.

The management of EkoHotBlog would also like to tender an unreserved apology, especially to his royal Majesty, the Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, for such costly mistake and palpable lack of due diligence.

It is not in our way of things to use nefarious means and sensationalism to draw traffic to our platform.

We are committed to upholding the ethics that guilde the journalism profession.

The Emir of Rano is dead.

Meanwhile, Tafida Abubakar Ila, emir of Rano, has died a day after he was admitted in the hospital over an unknown ailment.

He was 74.

Rano is one of the emirates created by Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano, at the height of his rift with Muhammadu Sanusi, whom he deposed as the emir of Kano.
