Revealed! How Airport Staff Took COVID-19 Second Case To Akure

Following the confirmation of the second cases of COVID-19 in the Ondo state capital city, Ekohotblog has reliably gathered that the case was taken to Ijoka area of the metropolis by a staff of the Muritala Muhammed, Airport, Lagos.

It was also gathered that the victim whose identity has not been disclosed retuned to Akure after the pronouncement of total lockdown order in Lagos.

According to the state Epidemiologist, Dr Stephen Fagbemi, the victim, a middle age man, who resides in Ijoka area of Akure has now been transfered to Infectious Disease Hospital.

This comes one week after the state government said it has recorded its index case, about five weeks after the first case of the disease was reported in Nigeria.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu had announced this on Friday last week via his verified Twitter handle.

He said the infected case has since been placed under isolation and urged the residents to stay calm.

The governor said the government had put necessary measures in place to identify all the contacts of the patient.
