Speaking at the grand launch of the LIFE-ND Agribusiness Innovative Forum (LAbIF) in Calabar, Cross River State, National Project Coordinator Engr. Sanni Fatai Abiodun revealed the groundbreaking initiative. “With this launch, we’re opening doors for countless unemployed youths and women in the Niger Delta region, offering them a pathway into the bustling world of agribusiness,” Abiodun declared.
The LIFE-ND project has already left an indelible mark, having created and supported a staggering 22,150 enterprises out of the targeted 22,500 across the participating states. This initiative aligns seamlessly with Nigeria’s agricultural policy and strategic framework for youth employment and job creation, positioning itself as a beacon of hope for poverty alleviation and empowerment, particularly among youths and women.
Abiodun emphasized the urgency of the LIFE-ND agribusiness innovative forum, highlighting the myriad challenges faced by budding agribusinesses, especially in their nascent stages.
Among the project’s success stories is Mr. Modey Andrew, a rice farmer hailing from Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River State.
