Rio Ferdinand Hits At Guardiola For His Celebration Vs. Liverpool

• Former Manchester United player and Legend, Rio Ferdinand has strike at Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola over his embarrassing celebration against Liverpool.

• The Spaniard took to the touchline to celebrate widely in front of Liverpool’s bench after Manchester City scored the equalizer in the Etihad fixture.

• According to Ferdinand, Liverpool player, Tsimikas should have shoved him away.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has criticized Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, for his actions during their Premier League match against Liverpool on Saturday.

Guardiola’s team came from behind to draw level with the Reds after Mohamed Salah’s 17th-minute opener was cancelled out by Julian Alvarez seven minutes later.

The City boss was seen celebrating the equalizer by getting in the face of Liverpool substitute Kostas Tsimikas. Ferdinand, who was a pundit for the match on BT Sport, was not impressed with Guardiola’s behaviour and felt that Tsimikas should have pushed him to the ground.

During the post-match analysis, Ferdinand said: “That celebration there, I don’t know how Tsimikas has not pushed him out of the way there! He [Guardiola] seems happy… he could not contain himself.”

Ferdinand added that Guardiola’s behaviour was unacceptable, especially as a manager of a top football club. He suggested that the City boss should show more respect to his opponents and not try to antagonize them.

Guardiola’s side have reduced the deficit in points against Arsenal to 5 points, however, Arsenal’s win against Leeds United at the Emirates takes it back to 8 points with a game ahead.
