Rivers State CP Joins In Manhunt For Killers Of DPO

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Rivers State Police Command has swung into action hunting the killer of one of its men, Bako Angbashim.

The men of the Police force led by the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, Nwonyi Emeka, in the state were reported to have moved into Ahoada in the early hours of Saturday following the beheading of the Divisional Police Officer, Bako Angbashim.

According to a Friday report, Angbashim was beheaded by some cultists in a village in Ahoada East Local Government Area, an area noted for cultism notoriety.

Also, there has been unrest in communities like Odumude, Odumereni, Odemusoma and Ihugbogo, Odieke in the Ahoada since the incident.

However, efforts to reach the Local Government Chairman, who is also the Chief Security Officer of Ahoada East LGA, Barr Ben Eke, have proved abortive.

The CP, Emeka, promised that the culprits will be fished out hence why he joined in the manhunt, motivating officers and men of Ahoada Police Division on confidence and dedication to crime fighting.

In addition, Emeka said the command would ensure that the killing of its brave and award-winning SP Bako would not go without justice prevailing.
