The youth leader, Ilasan Housing Estate, Eti-osa, Lagos, Mr. Pitt Omolade, has commended the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwolu, for his rapid intervention to curb the perpetual robbery in the state.
Pitt said, while addressing the youths of the estate on the 14th of May, that the governor of the state has really done well as he had ordered the commissioner of police, CP Zubairu Muazu, to engage other police officers in every nook and cranny of the state as hoodlums have made some residents sleepless and restless recently, especially areas like Agege, Ogba and Ejigbo.
He added that the commissioner of police should not relent in his effort to curtail the mayhem within the state, especially in this period of pandemic coronavirus in order to avoid the imminent destruction.

He said that most of the perpetrators were youths and was unfortunate as he believed that the youths who were supposed to be the leaders of tomorrow had been engaging in different nefarious activities in the state.
He praised the chairman of the Community Development Association of the estate, Mr. Sulaiman Kazeem for his various pieces of advice for the youths over a good communal conducts and added that the youths should emulate the CDA chairman in term of rendering social development within the community.
“I urge the residents of Lagos State and other states that are affected with this lockdown imposition to kindly comply with the the rules because the situation is beyond the state and the federal government capacity. I pray that we will all enjoy in the end by the grace of God,” he said.
A resident of the estate, Mr. Tayo Aromire, said youths of the estate have never flouted any social rules in the state despite the fact that Mr. Pitt had gathered the youths for moral discussion and interactive conversation.
“I commend the CDA chairman, Mr. Sulaiman Kazeem, the ward E councilor, Mr. Ogunderu Murphy, the local government chairman, Mr. Bakonle Saheed and the state governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwolu for their positive impact since the rise of covid-19,” he said.
