Barely six months to the end of the existing contract, Nigeria’s Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, hope to have his future settled before the year runs out.
The contract of the Franco-German tactician is to end by mid-year of 2020 and the federation is yet to commence negotiations for a new deal.
Rohr cleared the air on his future during a press conference organised in Uyo for the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin Republic.

“I have to work, the contract is not a problem. I think by the end of the year, I will discuss with the FA. No distraction for me, but it’s time to have a new project to win the next AFCON, we need to be at the next World Cup as well,” he said.
Meanwhile, the reports have it that Nigeria Football Federation has paid the balance of the salaries it owes type gaffer.
The football house paid 50% of the money last month but it was reported that the remaining part has been cleared.
