Ronaldo And Messi Don’t Deserve The Recent Unfair Criticism By Football World

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, are without doubt, two players that will never be forgotten in the history of football.

As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG , Their dominant rise has seen them perform in the highest level for the better part of the last 15 years, shutting the door to the Balon D’or from other players.

To place the dominance both players have enjoyed within that time into context, only Luka Modric and Robert Lewandowski have managed to break into the duopoly of Balon D’or titles shared by both men in the last 13 years.

They have won titles, break and set records but the fact still remain that there are human and not machines.

With Messi at 33 and Cristiano Ronaldo at 36, the football world still expect record shattering performances from them and continue to compare their present form to that of their hey days.

Many players have hung their boots at this age. Even football greats like Delima Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Kaka didn’t play to this age, Dilema Ronaldo retired at 34, Kaka at 34 and Ronaldinho at 35.

At this stage of their careers, Messi and Cristiano should support the team and not “carry it” like they did in their hey days.

Nature must take it course, so it’s natural that at their present age they can’t meet people’s expectations.

It’s time we shift expectations to other players. Not all players make the front-page when they don’t play well. But with Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo do it’s different.

Even though they still perform if not more than, then almost at the same level with the highly rated players who are in their prime.

In all, in the game of football you mustn’t win at all times, so let’s cut this guys some slack.

Yesterday night showed that this duo are irreplaceable as Messi had a goal for Barcelona while Ronaldo netted a hat trick for Juventus.
