After powering Portugal past Switzerland to book a UEFA Nations League final date with Netherlands, Cristiano Ronaldo is confident he and his teammates can land another title.
Speaking to Europe’s governing body’s website ahead of the final, the Portugal captain said: “It’s my country and wearing this shirt is a great honour. Obviously, being part of this competition is even more special, and scoring goals in it is the cherry on top of the cake.”
With a hat-trick against Switzerland reminding those who are looking last him of his extraordinary presence, the Juventus star say he still has a lot to play for without a doubt.
“It’s the preparation – my work ethic. I still feel good despite being 34 years of age. The most important thing is your head, to feel motivated and happy, and to follow my path as a player, because I think I still have a lot to give and I feel very good,” he stated further.
