Ole Solskjaer was sacked by the Manchester United board on Sunday with Michael Carrick taking over in the interim.

However Wayne Rooney’s name has been mentioned in some quarters but the Derby County manager said he isn’t being considered for the job as he would have been contacted by now if they were interested in inviting him over.
He further reaffirmed his commitment to Derby County.
“I’m committed to this football club until somebody above me tells me otherwise,” Rooney said.
Rooney also confirmed that he still maintains contact with people at Manchester United.
“I speak to people at Manchester United on a regular basis and I’m sure, if they were going to come calling for me, that would have happened by now.”
Zinedine Zidane and Mauricio Pochettino are reportedly top of the list on who to take over as Manchester United manager.
