The project, which aims at improving the health and welfare of the students, was spearheaded by Rotarian Niyi Adekunle, the President of the Rotary Club of Gbagada.
In an interview with Eko Hot Blog, Rotarian Niyi Adekunle, the President, hinted at one of the reasons for embarking on such a project.
“They have over 300 children here. As a matter of fact, 327, and without a sick bed. In fact, right in our presence that day, we saw a child that was very sick and was taken away. Where is this child going? They said because they have no sick beds, they have to see him off to his house,” Rotarian Adekunle explained.
“He further advised the management and students of the school on the maintenance of the project.
“This is now their property, so they should maintain it and preserve it for the next generation,” he admonished.
In response to the commissioning of the project, the school’s management and students were full of gratitude to the Rotary Club of Gbagada.
The assistant headmistress of the school, Mrs Clementina Adewale, couldn’t contain her joy as she spoke to reporters regarding the project.
“I am overjoyed because this is what we have been expecting, and the Rotarian Club of Gbagada did wonderfully well,” she said.
The head girl of the school, Armanda Obodo, expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club of Gbagada.
“I want to express a huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Gbagada, and may God bless you and may you never lack. Thank you very much.”
