Rotary Club Of Omole Golden Moves To Tackle Open Defecation In Lagos

A Lagos based club has moved to tackle open defecation

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Rotary Club of Omole Golden (District 9110) has disclosed plan to provide ultra-modern public toilets at major markets and motor parks as part of its advocacy to tackle open defecation in Lagos State.

The newly-installed 19th President of the club, Mr. Ganiu Lawal, who disclosed this during his investiture, induction of the board of directors and fund-raising for its projects in Ikeja, said the club had embarked on the rehabilitation of a block of four classrooms with collapsible demarcation at Ajuwon Senior High School.

He promised to serve humanity together with the board of directors and carry out projects judiciously.

“We want well-meaning individuals and corporate organisations to support our proposed project for the 2022-2023 Rotary year. We are equipping the Rotary Club of Omole Golden Neonatal Building at Ifako Ijaiye General Hospital at N24, 55,000.

“We plan to provide ultra-modern public toilets at major markets and motor parks at N8.7 million as part of our advocacy to tackle open defecation in Lagos State.

“We also plan to provide a Mathematics laboratory at Oke-Ira Junior Grammar School, Ogba, at N500,000 and promote menstrual hygiene through procurement of 3,000 dignity kits for girls in three public schools at N2.4 million.
