EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to police spokesperson Suleiman Nguroje, the incident occurred after a disagreement over the balance for liquor the suspect had purchased from the victim.
Nguroje explained, “She confessed to the crime, stating that she had collected dry gin known as ‘Big Ben’ and ‘Yahoo’ from the deceased. After paying ₦1,500, she promised to settle the ₦200 balance the following day.
However, an argument ensued, leading to a fight during which she stabbed him in the chest, resulting in his death.”
The state Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, has ordered a thorough investigation into the case and cautioned residents against taking the law into their own hands.
