One of the worst prisons in Nigeria is the Kirikiri Maximum Prison. This prison is located in the west of Apapa, Lagos. It is feared by even the most notorious criminals.

This is because of how humans are treated in the Prison; the prison has poor hygiene, people sleep over one another, the lack of space and prisoners are given poorly made food.

In fact, any criminal who stays in this prison returns to society as a changed person. However, not all prisoners here are guilty; some are innocent and under trial.
