Senegalese football star Sadio Mane has shared his hopes of starting a family with his wife, Aisha Tamba, expressing a desire to have “three or four” children.

The 32-year-old former Liverpool forward opened up in a recent interview, reflecting on his life since marrying Aisha in an Islamic arranged ceremony last year in Dakar, Senegal.

“Funny question,” Mane remarked when asked about his ideal number of children. “If it’s just a choice, I’d say three or four. But it’s God who decides, and I’ll thank Him no matter what.” He continued, “Whatever the number, I’ll accept it. I’m leaning towards three or four, and we’ll see about the rest.”

The marriage between Mane and Aisha, who was 18 at the time, drew widespread attention on social media. Now 19, Aisha relocated to Saudi Arabia to be with her husband after their wedding.

Mane and Aisha first met two years prior to their marriage. Speaking through a relative after the wedding, Aisha emphasized that her husband’s fame and wealth would not change her.

“I am looking forward to my new life, and I know that it will be very different,” she told The Mail. “But I do not feel any pressure because Sadio’s fame and money will not change me. This is not what I’m interested in. I will remain a humble person committed to my faith.”

The young bride also spoke about her reserved upbringing and the adjustments that come with being married to a globally recognized footballer.

“I’m not used to having so much attention on me because we are a very private family. We don’t like to show off and speak about our personal lives. I am a very down-to-earth person; this is how I was raised, and nothing will be different just because of this marriage. But I’m very honoured to now be Mrs. Mane,” she said.

Mane, who currently plays for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, has continued to capture the spotlight both on and off the pitch, balancing his career and personal life with his faith and future family aspirations.
