Saka Tenders Emotional Apology To Arsenal Fans

  • From being Arsenal’s star boy, Saka may very much end the season as Arsenal’s villain in the event Arsenal fail to clinch on to the Premier League title.

  • The academy graduate missed a crucial penalty against West Ham United that could have seen the Gunners command a comfortable lead at 3-1.

  • Taking to social media, the England international apologizes to the fans, promising better days ahead.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Arsenal’s winger, Bukayo Saka, has apologised to fans following his missed penalty against West Ham United in their 2-2 draw on Sunday.

The 21-year-old had the chance to make it 3-1 in the second half but failed to convert the spot-kick.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Shortly after, West Ham equalized through Jarrod Bowen less than two minutes after Saka’s miss. In a message posted on his Instagram page after the game,

Saka accepted responsibility for the missed penalty and apologized to the fans. He wrote, “Regardless of the outcome, I’ll always accept my responsibility. Apologies Gunners, I’ll do everything I can to make it right.” The draw left Arsenal four points ahead of Manchester City, who have a game in hand.

The result leaves the Gunners in a position they wouldn’t want to be with a chasing Manchester City breathing behind their neck for the Premier League title. Arsenal have so far dropped 4 points from a possible 6 against last week’s opponents, Liverpool at Anfield and against West Ham United.
Situations like this, is what Liverpool’s 2 times title challenge against Manchester City should have thought Mikel Arteta’s Gunners as every 3 point counts and a draw is very well a loss. Right now, Arsenal would be better if they had dropped 3 points rather than 4.
