Ekohotblog reports that a member of the House of Representatives, representing Epe Federal Constituency, Wale Raji, has congratulated Mr Rotimi Seriki, over his elevation to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
This online media recalls that the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee, (LPPC) elevated 72 lawyers to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
Seriki is one of 72 lawyers named by the legal practitioner’s privilege committee (LPPC) at its 149th plenary session on Thursday.
A total of 130 lawyers were shortlisted for the rank in September — including 95 advocate applicants and 35 academic applicants of the 130 candidates shortlisted, 72 were successful, while 58 did not make the cut.
In a statement on Friday, Hon Raji said he is proud of his accomplishment, which he described as an enviable divisional record, a first in the history of Epe division.

The lawmaker said he wishes the achievement will be a motivation for those coming behind to achieve such enviable heights in the constituency, Division and state.
His words, “I, on behalf of the good people of Epe Federal Constituency and Epe Division congratulate our son and brother, Rotimi Seriki on his elevation to the enviable professional rank of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

Mr Rotimi Seriki, SAN, is currently Principal Counsel in Rotimi Seriki & Co. He graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife with a degree in Law in 1988 and was called to bar in 1989.
He worked as Legal Counsel in the Firm of Dr G. Isomonuwa & Co. from 1989 to 1990, Tunde Seriki & Co in 1990 – 1991 and Ayanlaja Adesanya &Co in 1991 – 1996.
