EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a viral video making the rounds online, Ogbonnaya claimed that Duru approached her to record a scripted voiceover designed to smear Senator Natasha’s image. She said the materials provided included pre-recorded audios and a damaging script targeting the senator.
Ogbonnaya, however, said she rejected the offer, citing her professional integrity as a journalist and her political ambitions.
“She wanted me to disrupt and destroy Natasha at the TV station she wanted me to go to on her behalf, but I refused. I am a journalist and I plan to run for office again, just like I did before. I can’t be part of such deceit,” she stated.
Ogbonnaya further alleged that the script falsely accused Senator Natasha of trying to undermine the Yoruba-led government, calling the claim illogical and divisive.
“How can a Kogi person—an Igbira, a minority group—attempt to fight the Yoruba government? It doesn’t even make sense. She has no gain in it,” she said.
The development follows a recent public claim by Duru that Senator Natasha offered her ₦200 million to make false accusations of organ harvesting against a former Akwa Ibom governor. Natasha has denied the allegation.
Ogbonnaya, however, described Duru’s assertions as fabricated, saying the original audio files sent to her did not include any denial of sexual harassment by Senator Natasha, as alleged by Sandra.
“If Sandra releases any audio now, just know it’s been doctored. In the original audios she sent to me, Natasha never denied sexual harassment; in fact, she spoke about experiences that clearly suggested she had faced it,” Ogbonnaya claimed.
She also clarified that Senator Natasha did not say anything derogatory about former Minister of Finance, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili. Instead, she reportedly expressed gratitude for the former minister’s support and highlighted her advocacy for women’s rights.
In a series of additional allegations, Ogbonnaya accused Sandra Duru of engaging in blackmail and manipulation of top political figures, including Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma and former Governor Rochas Okorocha.
“Sandra told me she made Rochas a governor. She blackmailed him and even tried to manipulate Hope Uzodinma through his commissioner for international affairs,” Ogbonnaya alleged.
When questioned about receiving payment for the voiceover job, Ogbonnaya confirmed that Sandra offered her ₦300,000 for political audio content, which she described as being below the typical ₦500,000 rate.
“She rejected the version I edited because I removed the lies. That’s when she got angry and found someone else to do it,” she added.
Ogbonnaya concluded by calling on the Nigeria Police to investigate the matter thoroughly and warned political leaders, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, to be cautious of Sandra Duru.
“I’m telling Akpabio to be careful. I don’t know if she’s working with him or Natasha, but Sandra is the one I know. The evidence I’ve shared is just the beginning. If she wants us to release more, I’m ready—especially the big names she mentioned,” she declared.
