Sanusi’s Brother Resigns From Emirate Council

Mujtaba Abba, the principal private secretary to the recently dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has resigned his membership of the state’s emirate council.

In his resignation letter, Abba also voluntarily forfeited his traditional title of ‘Falakin Kano’, Premium Times reports.

Abba who is a half brother of Sanusi in his letter expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the council for the esteemed opportunity to serve the state in that capacity.

He also thanked the entire staff members of the council for their cooperation and support given to him throughout his stay in office.
