Sanwo-Olu Celebrates Oyetola’s Milestone 70th Birthday

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

Sanwo-Olu praised Oyetola, the former governor of Osun State, for his distinguished career and dedication as a technocrat, visionary leader, and selfless public servant.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor highlighted Oyetola’s impressive contributions both in the private sector and in public office.

According to Sanwo-Olu, Oyetola has demonstrated exemplary leadership throughout his career, from his time as Chief of Staff to his tenure as Governor of Osun State, and now as a key figure in President Bola Tinubu’s administration as the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy.

“On behalf of my adorable wife, Ibijoke, family, and the good people and government of Lagos State, I join family, friends, and political associates to congratulate the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, on his 70th birthday,” Sanwo-Olu said.

He further noted Oyetola’s exceptional service to Osun State, particularly in his ability to manage the state’s limited resources while achieving significant developmental progress.

“Governor Oyetola is a seasoned technocrat, visionary leader, and gentleman who has used his wealth of experience in the private sector as a financial expert and technocrat to manage Osun State during his tenure as Chief of Staff and Governor of the State.

He performed brilliantly in office, and his managerial skill and developmental strides were noticeable in different areas of endeavour in Osun State, particularly in the management of the lean resources of the State,” Sanwo-Olu remarked.

The Lagos governor also praised Oyetola’s ongoing efforts in his ministerial role, contributing to the success of the Renewed Hope agenda under President Tinubu.

Sanwo-Olu concluded his message by wishing Oyetola continued health and strength as he celebrates this milestone and continues to serve his state and the nation.

“On this occasion of his 70th birthday, I wish Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola good health as he joins the league of septuagenarians.

I pray that God will give him more strength as he continues to render more service to humanity, his State, Osun, and Nigeria.”
