Nubi, along with her mother, was received by the governor, commissioners, and aides at the Government House in Marina on Monday, following her arrival in Lagos on Sunday.
Her journey, which commenced on January 31, 2024, saw her navigate through numerous countries, overcoming challenges and obstacles along the way.
Starting her trip in England, Nubi passed through France, Spain, Morocco, the West Sahara Desert, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, and Benin before finally reaching her destination in Lagos.
During her arduous journey, Nubi faced several hurdles, including a 24-hour delay at the Liberia border, denial of entry into Sierra Leone, and a severe accident in Liberia just a day after her arrival.
In 2022, the intrepid traveler documented her adventures in 77 countries, surpassing visits to over 80 of the world’s 193 nations at the age of 27.
Through her quest for adventure, Nubi aimed to demonstrate to the world that the concept of “impossible” is merely a word, emphasizing that with sufficient grit and determination, obstacles deemed impossible can be overcome.
