Sanwo-Olu Encourages Private Investment to Improve Education Infrastructure

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State during a visit to Charterhouse has emphasized the need for greater private sector involvement in education infrastructure to tackle deficiencies and promote growth within the state’s education sector.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Sanwo-Olu explained that a combination of both private and public sector investments is essential to effectively address the infrastructure gap in Lagos schools and advance the overall quality of education.

“As a government, we commend this level of private sector investment in educational infrastructure. There’s room for both public and private contributions, and we must work together to build a strong educational ecosystem. I’m here to show support and will be closely watching the progress made by Charterhouse Lagos,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He applauded the outstanding cutting-edge facilities and educational vision, and Charterhouse’s learner-focused approach to education.
“It’s a wonderful educational institution, well thought out and deeply learner-centred,” Sanwo-Olu said. “What Charterhouse Lagos has done is place the students at the heart of everything.
You can see from every detail that the environment has been intentionally created to support true learning. It is a place where pupils thrive, and where parents can feel confident that meaningful education is taking place.”
Accompanied by a delegation that included Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, Deputy Chief of Staff Samuel Egube, Commissioner for Health Prof. Akin Abayomi, and the Oba of Ogombo Muslim Abiodun, among other dignitaries, Governor Sanwo-Olu visited Charterhouse Lagos to further emphasize the importance of quality education.
During the visit, Charterhouse Lagos Director of Education, John Todd, affirmed the school’s mission to provide students with a transformative learning experience that encourages curiosity, character development, and global-mindedness.
“Today’s visit reinforces our belief that great education is a shared responsibility,” Todd said.
