Sanwo-Olu Enthrones Oba Olokodana As The Pioneer Alakodo Of Akodo

Sanwo-Olu has installed Oba Olokodana as the first Alakodo of Akodo.

Eko Hot Blog reports that, in a historic and joyous occasion, His Royal Majesty Oba Abdulhakeem Babatunde Olokodana was officially installed as the first Alakodo of Akodo town.

Lagos State Governor, His Excellency Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Rural Development, Mr. Bolaji Kayode Roberts, presented the new monarch with the instrument of appointment and staff of office.

Mr. Roberts, speaking on behalf of Governor Sanwo-Olu, commended the transparent and fair selection process that led to Oba Olokodana’s ascension.

He congratulated the people of Akodo and urged them to fully support their new king to foster community advancement.

The governor’s message emphasized the importance of unity and collective development under the leadership of the new Alakodo of Akodo kingdom, while also encouraging the elders to preserve traditional values and protect the integrity of the traditional stool.

He assured that the state government would continue to deliver the benefits of democracy to the people.

On his part, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, the Council Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government, expressed gratitude to Sanwo-Olu.

He said the governor has been committed o the development of Ibeju Lekki, highlighting the recent installation of seven kings in the area as a testament to this dedication.

Hon. Olowa therefore called on the residents of Akodo to cooperate with Oba Olokodana and expressed hope that his reign would bring remarkable progress and prosperity to both Akodo and the broader Ibeju Lekki Local Government.

The ceremony was graced by a host of dignitaries, including traditional royal fathers, Baales in Council, legislators, executive cabinet members, management staff, political leaders, and many more.
