The governor, who was represented by Mr. Tayo Ayinde, his Chief of Staff, spoke at Alhaja Bankole’s Fidau Prayer on Thursday in Epe.
She passed away in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, last week while on holy pilgrimage.

“Every year, I had the honor of sponsoring her pilgrimage to Hajj. It was a tradition that symbolized our close bond and mutual respect.
“This year, I was unaware that she had embarked on the pilgrimage until the news of her passing reached us. It was a moment of profound sorrow.”
Reflecting on her passing, Ayinde emphasized the significance of her being buried in the holy land of Mecca.
“To pass away and be buried in Mecca is a blessing that many pray for but few receive. It is a testament to her devout faith and righteous life,” she said.
“We are confident that Alhaja Bankole is in heaven, a place she rightfully deserves.”
Alhaja Bankole’s life was marked by her devotion to her faith, her community, and her political principles.
Her annual pilgrimages to Hajj were a testament to her deep spirituality and commitment to Islam.
Her sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew her.
