Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu today joined President Bola Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, and other Nigerians to pay tribute to late Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu at his funeral in Owo.
In a Facebook post, Governor Sanwo-Olu described the late Arakurin Rotimi as “a courageous leader” and solemnly recognized his significant contributions to Ondo State and Nigeria.
“Today was a day to pay respect to a man remembered for his service and positive impact on society. I pray that God grants him eternal rest and gives his immediate family, friends, associates, and the people of Ondo State the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” Sanwo-Olu wrote.
The Lagos State governor acknowledged Akeredolu’s memory and impactful legacy at the funeral service. He prayed for God to comfort all who mourn the deceased governor’s passing.
