Eko Hot Blog reports that in a display of warm hospitality, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, welcomed the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Hon. Gaston Alfonso Browne, and his wife, Maria, at the Lagos House, Marina, some early hours of today.

The visit was marked by cultural exchanges and diplomatic gestures, hinting at potential collaborations between the two nations.
During the courtesy visit, Sanwo-Olu presented Browne with an effigy of the Blue Line rail, symbolizing Lagos State’s strides in infrastructure development.
Additionally, the Prime Minister received an Eyo plaque, a traditional Yoruba cultural artifact, further strengthening the cultural bond between the two nations.
Moreover, the presence of Allen Onyeama, the CEO of Air Peace, and Hafsah Abdulsalam, the CEO of LIAT 2020 Airlines Antigua, sparked speculation about potential collaborations in the aviation sector. “We welcome opportunities for mutual growth and development,” Sanwo-Olu stated, indicating the state’s openness to partnerships.

The visit also included Nigerian ex-international and Air Peace Ambassador, Chief Segun Odegbami, and Chairman of LIAT 2020 Ltd, Ambassador Davin Joseph, further solidifying the diplomatic ties between the two nations.
