Sanwo-Olu Lauds Women Judges For Shattering Glass Ceilings

The governor’s remarks came during the Southwest Zonal Conference of the National Association of Women Judges of Nigeria, themed “Breaking Leadership Barriers for Women in the Legal Profession.”

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. ‘Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, Governor Sanwo-Olu paid tribute to these trailblazing women, describing them as “great women who continually demonstrate the spirit of resilience, determination, and unwavering commitment that defines the exceptional and excellent women in leadership.”

The conference, held in Lagos, served as a platform to celebrate the accomplishments of women judges and explore strategies to further empower and promote gender equality within the legal fraternity.

Addressing the esteemed gathering, Barr. Salu-Hundeyin, on behalf of Governor Sanwo-Olu, stated, “The heights these women have attained in the legal profession are a testament to their unwavering dedication and commitment to breaking down barriers that have historically hindered women’s advancement in this field.”

The governor’s remarks underscored the importance of recognizing and supporting women’s leadership in all spheres of society, particularly in the legal profession, where gender disparities have long persisted.

“It is imperative that we continue to create an enabling environment that empowers and encourages women to pursue their aspirations without limitation,” Barr. Salu-Hundeyin added, echoing the governor’s sentiments.
