Governor Sanwo-Olu Warmly Welcomes Jamaican Envoy
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, received the Jamaican High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Lincoln G. Downer, on a courtesy visit.
During the meeting at Lagos House, Marina, the two leaders discussed ways to foster stronger ties between their respective regions.

Sanwo-Olu presented Downer with an Eyo statue, symbolizing the rich cultural heritage of Lagos.
Enhancing Bilateral Cooperation “This visit marks a pivotal moment in our bilateral cooperation,” Governor Sanwo-Olu remarked.
He emphasized the potential for collaboration in areas like tourism, arts, and culture.
Downer expressed his appreciation for the warm reception, stating, “Jamaica values its relationship with Nigeria and Lagos State.”
Exploring Cultural Synergies The discussions also highlighted the cultural similarities between Nigeria and Jamaica, providing opportunities for mutual understanding and growth.
Sanwo-Olu’s aides, including his Special Advisers on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Corporate Finance, and Strategic Investment, were present during the meeting.
Their presence underscored the governor’s commitment to leveraging these sectors for the benefit of both regions.
