Eko Hot Blog reports that in a heartfelt tribute, His Excellency, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of his former Senior Special Assistant on Works and Infrastructure, Abdulraheem Owokoniran.
In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, Governor Sanwo-Olu described Owokoniran as “a young Nigerian politician with visionary ideas for nation-building and development.”
He praised Owokoniran’s loyalty to their party and his commitment to programs aimed at benefiting the masses.
“Abdulraheem was a staunch party loyalist and a champion of programs aimed at benefiting the masses,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
The governor extended his heartfelt condolences to Owokoniran’s family, friends, and colleagues, including his Special Adviser on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, who is a brother to the deceased.
“My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues, including my Special Adviser on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe who is a brother to the deceased,” Sanwo-Olu said.
Sanwo-Olu acknowledged Owokoniran’s dedication to the party and his contributions to the growth of Lagos State, stating that his efforts would be dearly missed.
“Abdulraheem’s dedication to our party and his contributions to the growth of Lagos State will be dearly missed. May his soul rest in peace, and may his loved ones find the strength to cope with this loss,” the governor added.
The tribute highlights the impact Owokoniran had on the political landscape of Lagos State and the nation as a whole, as well as the respect and admiration he garnered from his colleagues and superiors.
