Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Thinkmint Nigeria’s Managing Partner, Imeida Usoro Olaoye, have stressed the importance of innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity in shaping the future of real estate in Lagos and Nigeria.
At the 2024 Real Estate Discussions and Awards (REDA), they highlighted the need for the industry to adapt to changing times and embrace new approaches.
Governor Sanwo-Olu praised the event’s theme, “Navigating Change in Real Estate for a New Era,” and emphasized that real estate is about creating communities, driving economic growth, and fostering social development.
He outlined his administration’s efforts to streamline land title registrations, secure property ownership, and invest in infrastructure, making Lagos a more attractive destination for real estate investments.

Sanwo-Olu also focused on sustainability, highlighting green building practices and flood defenses as key to addressing environmental challenges.
Olaoye encouraged industry professionals to think outside the box, collaborate, and embrace innovation and sustainability as pillars for growth.
Other speakers, like Hon. Ayodeji Joseph, Managing Director/CEO of Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC), echoed the need for reshaping real estate strategies to adapt to a rapidly changing world.
