Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has challenged the staff of Alimosho General Hospital, Igando to justify the attention being paid to the hospital in recent times by government and upscale their service delivery to meet the yearnings of the populace.
Sanwo-Olu gave the charge at the annual Christmas day celebration with the patients of the hospital where he presented gift items to the hospital patients in the spirit of the yuletide season.
Sanwo-Olu, who was represented at the event by the Director of Occupational Services, Lagos State Ministry of Health, Dr. Enitan Layeni-Adeyemo said that the patients also deserve to be celebrated in spite of their varying health status.
The governor made reference to the newly located Dr Aishat Buhari Mother and Child Centre within the premises of the hospital as well as the additional staff strength added to the medical personnel of the facility.

He said that the government on its part is making frantic efforts to accord the hospital the needed leverage for its optimal performance.
Governor Sanwo-Olu called on the medical personnel of the hospital and other members of staff to be more focused, determined in rendering qualitative services to the citizenry than before next year.
He used the occasion to appeal to Lagosians to exchange gift items and show affection to people facing one health challenge or the other as well as other vulnerable members of the society during the yuletide season.
The Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Madewa Adebajo commended the staff for efforts being put in place to stay afloat in their various duty posts in spite of some noticeable challenges capable of limiting their commitment.
Speaking on the Christmas celebration, Dr. Adebajo said that celebrating with the hospital patients was one of the ways the State government shows the significance it attaches to the health sector and health of the citizens.
