Sanwo-Olu’s Deputy Chief Of Staff Is Dead

Eko Hot Blog reports that Mr Gboyega Soyannwo, the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS) to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has died.
The Lagos Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, revealed the tragic development in a statement on Wednesday.

Soyannwo was 55.
According to Omotoso, the deceased passed away after a brief illness.
“With deep sorrow, the Lagos State Government announces the passing of the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS) to Mr Governor, Mr Gboyega Soyannwo,” the statement reads.
“Soyannwo died today after a brief illness. He was 55.
“Mr. Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on behalf of the Government and people of Lagos, sends his condolences to the Soyannwo family.”

Reacting to his deputy CoS’s demise, Sanwo-Olu said he had lost a brother and people’s servant.
“I have lost a brother and a servant of the people,” the Lagos governor was quoted ad saying while breaking the news to the Executive Council (EXCO) meeting,
“After a minute’s silence in respect of the late DCoS, Mr Governor ended the EXCO meeting.
“The late Gboyega Soyannwo is survived by a wife and two children.
