Saraki Reacts To Death Of 2018 IBM Competition Winner, David Ntekim-Rex

  • Mr Saraki, however, said on Monday that it was heartbreaking that such incidents still occur despite laws passed during the eighth Senate he headed to prevent such tragedies.

As gathered by EkoHotBlog, Bukola Saraki, former Senate President requested for the arrest of the murderers of David Nketim Rex who was shot dead at Jibowu, Lagos.

David’s cousin, Roy Mustang narrated the incident on his twitter handle stating that he was attacked while returning home around 8pm.

Mr Saraki, however, said on Monday that it was heartbreaking that such incidents still occur despite laws passed during the eighth Senate he headed to prevent such tragedies.

“Learning that David Ntekim-Rex died despite existing laws that we passed during the 8th Senate to mitigate against such occurrences is truly heartbreaking. My heartfelt prayers are with his loved ones at this truly difficult time,” he tweeted.

“I hope that all those that are found to have been negligent in this case are quickly apprehended and tried under the ‘Compulsory Treatment and Care for Victims of Gunshot Act (2017)’ to ensure that no family ever has to suffer such a loss again.”
