‘Scary And Sad’, Simi Offers Thoughts On Depression Among Men

Singer, Simi, has weighed in on the important topic of depression, saying it is both sad and scary how much it is affecting men across the world, especially in Nigeria.

The topic didn’t start with the former X3M Music act; she was called upon by a fan to express her thoughts on depression in a Twitter exchange.

“It’s scary and sad. Especially for young men. The struggle to keep up. The fear of failure. The desperate desire for validation. Very scary. I hope that we can let people know it’s ok to share and lean on someone when things get too heavy,” Simi responded.

According to her, the wave of depression has increased with many young men finding it difficult to keep up.
