Everton have parted ways with manager Sean Dyche after less than two years in charge at Goodison Park.
The 53-year-old’s dismissal was announced on Thursday, just hours before Everton’s FA Cup third-round clash with League One side Peterborough.

Under-18s head coach Leighton Baines and club captain Seamus Coleman will step in as interim managers for the fixture.
Four members of Dyche’s backroom staff—Ian Woan, Steve Stone, Mark Howard, and Billy Mercer—have also departed.
In an official statement, Everton said:
“Everton Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as Senior Men’s First Team Manager with immediate effect.
“Ian Woan, Steve Stone, Mark Howard, and Billy Mercer have also left the Club.
“The process to appoint a new Manager is underway, and an update will be provided in due course.
“Under-18s Head Coach Leighton Baines and Club Captain Seamus Coleman will take charge of first-team affairs on an interim basis.”
Dyche’s exit follows a string of poor performances, leaving Everton in a precarious position in the Premier League. The Toffees are 16th in the table, just one point above the relegation zone, after a dismal 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth last Saturday.
The team failed to register a single shot on target in that match and has managed just three wins in 19 league games this season.
