Security Operatives Intercept Bags Of Foreign Currencies At Kano Airport
- Security operatives have intercepted bags of foreign currencies at Kano Airport.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that security operatives have intercepted bags filled with different foreign currencies at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano State.
It was gathered that the foreign currencies were smuggled into the country via Ethiopian Airlines on Thursday.
According to some insiders at Kano Airport, the Ethiopian Airline landed at about 2pm local time.
A source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, disclosed that the Ethiopian Airlines arrived at Kano Airport around 2pm, saying, “Some security personnel uncovered some suspicious luggage and upon checking, discovered different foreign currencies stashed in them.

“Upon further checking of the luggage, different foreign currencies such as US Dollars, Euro, Pounds Sterling, and others were uncovered,” the source revealed.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that heavy reinforcement of security was quickly drafted to the scene of the incident.
“Security started counting the money at about 2pm and they could not conclude till evening,” the source further disclosed.
All efforts to speak to different security agencies on the latest development proved abortive.
