Community chiefs of Ijare town in Ondo State allegedly led youths to chase away herdsmen who believe have been causing havoc in the area.
The incidence spiked a mild drama on Wednesday morning as the herders left their cows behind and ran for their lives.
It was learnt that the community took this step after they had given warnings to the to leave town following destruction of many farmlands by their cows.

The herdsmen were said to have refused to leave , a development that the community leaders were not comfortable with.
The Nation reported that a source said: “ These herdsmen have been adamant and it was high time they left. We didn’t harm them but we were surprised the way they ran away like being chased by a lion.
“They have been destroying our farms and we could no longer condone such losses again. We don’t have problem with them but we don’t want them and their cows in Ijare anymore.”
