See Why Lagos Govt Demolishes Fela’s Statue At Allen Avenue (Photo)
The Lagos State government has pulled down the statue of late Afrobeat Legend, Fela Kuti, which was built at Allen Avenue, Ikeja.
Ekohotblog gathered that the Statue was brought down on Tuesday as the government began its quest in finding a solution to traffic gridlock in the state.
Spokesman to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Gboyega Akosile revealed that the statue was pulled down because the roundabout where it was located was identified as one of the four locations in Lagos that cause traffic gridlock.
